MISTIE Phase II Results: Safety, Efficacy and Surgical Performance

Background: We report the primary clinical outcome results (180 day mRS) for the “Minimally Invasive Surgery plus t-PA for Intracerebral Hemorrhage Evacuation” (MISTIE) trial, a NINDS-funded, two-stage, study of safety, efficacy, and surgical performance that continued to completion after a planned interim analysis showed a strong indication of safety, and efficacy.

CLEAR Intraventricular Hemorrhage : More Than a Glimmer of Hope

Results from the CLEAR IVH SAFETY trial have been published in the November 2011 issue of Stroke. This publication showed that low-dose rtPA for the treatment of intracerebral hemorrhage with intraventricular hemorrhage has an acceptable safety profile compared to placebo and historical controls. 

This was the first clinical trial demonstrating the safety of rtPA for treatment of IVH and is the basis for our current phase three trial (CLEAR III). Click CONTINUE READING for the downloadable publication.
